President Muhammadu Buhari has met with his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa, at the latter’s office in Pretoria.
A video shared by the Presidency Office of Digital Engagement (PODE) shows the moment Buhari arrived at the Union Building (the Official Seat of the South African Government and the Office of the President) this morning.
Top on the agenda of their meeting is the recent wave of xenophobic attacks by South Africans against foreign nationals, most especially Nigerians, which led to the loss of many lives as well as destruction and looting of businesses owned by foreigners.
The development has resulted in the evacuation of hundreds of Nigerians from the country.
