Sarah Palin, a former governor of Alaska and the Republican Party nominee for Vice President of the United States in the 2008 election is set to kiss goodbye to her marriage, the court papers are out.
In the court documents, NewsmakersNG learnt that Sarah Palin‘s estranged husband, Todd is demanding their debts and assets be “divided equally”.
Todd, a 55-year-old commercial fisherman had filed for divorce in Anchorage Superior Court on Friday, September 6, after 31 years of marriage.
Todd asked the court to dissolve the marriage with 55-year-old, citing an “incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife,” according to the documents obtained exclusively by Radar.
The filing asks for joint legal custody of their only minor child together, Trig.
In a weird twist, Todd’s lawyer, Kimberlee Colbo, is the same as daughter Bristol‘s ex-husband Dakota Meyer‘s lawyer.
Colbo asked the court that the divorce remain confidential as it moves forward, the filing states.
Sarah was elected governor of Alaska in 2006 but resigned in 2009.
The filing was reported only under the couple’s initials, and Sarah has not yet responded.
