Two suspected ritual killers have told the police how much they sell the different body parts of victims.
The suspects were paraded at the Ondo State police headquarters, Akure, on Thursday.
They were paraded alongside a Muslim cleric/herbalist, who allegedly buys the body parts from them.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Gbenga Adeyanju, said the suspects used to lure and abduct students of tertiary institutions, who they later kill for ritual.
Adeyanju said the suspects had been involved in the crime for a long time and had even extended their operations to neighbouring states.
He said the suspects confessed that they sold body parts of their victims to the cleric, who is based in Ore, also in Ondo State.
The alleged ritual killers were identified as John Adenitire alias Emir and Fisayo Fasanu alias Abore, while the cleric’s name was given as Alfa Abdurafiu Tijani.
Newsmakers learned that the suspects were initially arrested in connection with the disappearance of two female students of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Oladepo Blessing and Oluwasemilore Mary.
They, however, confessed during interrogation that they abducted and murdered other victims, including three female students of the institution.
They said the cleric requested for the left breast and left hand of three victims, promising to pay N5 million for each pair, making a total of N15 million for the three.
One of the suspects, Adenitire, 30, while speaking with journalists, said: “Alfa and his partners promised to give us N5 million for a left breast and left hand and we were able to send three different bodies to them but they have not sent the money before my arrest by the police.
“We have killed three girls and removed their breast and hands and buried their remains in the bush. We gave the parts to the Alfa and Sile, who is also part of us but is currently on the run.”
His partner, Fasanu, claimed it was Adenitire that introduced him to the crime and had assured him there would be no problem.
He added: “After he had succeeded in convincing me about the business, we went out the second day around 9:30pm and kidnapped two girls and one boy. We later killed them and removed the parts we needed and handed them over to Sile, who took them to herbalists in Ore and Ijebu Igbo (in Ogun State).”
Police said they had recovered the decomposing bodies of the victims from where the suspects had buried them.
