We Are One Today …And We Are Here to Stay

On November 22, 2016, we planted a little acorn that is fast growing into a mighty oak.

Most people may not believe it, NewsmakersNG is just a year old today. And guess what; we are here to stay.

The past 365 days were very interesting times, as we breasted the waves in the ocean of online journalism and took giant strides in the dangerous fields of crime reporting where we used landmines as stepping stones.

We broke some of the most celebrated stories in 2017, including the story of the billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans and that of the billions found in a flat at Osborne Towers, in Ikoyi, Lagos among others. We were also the first to reveal the true identity of the owner of the flat, while others were still dropping names. The feat, however, made the security agency involved to come after us, and our home and office were monitored with drones.

We are saving the big story for another day.

Today, we just want to thank our teeming readers all over the world, and we thank the over 17000 fans on Facebook.
