Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has expressed sorrow at the untimely death of Abuja-based showmaker, Omale Ojima-Ojo, popularly known as OJBEST.
Ojima-Ojo, 28, who was famous for making shoes for several VIPs, including the vice president, reportedly died last week of an undisclosed ailment.
Osinbajo, in a tweet today, described late Ojima-Ojo as “my young enterprising shoemaker and friend”, adding that he was “talented, creative and dedicated to his craft”.
The vice president wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the news of the sudden death of Mr. Ojima Omale, aka OJBEST, 28, my young enterprising shoemaker and friend.
“Omale was CEO of O.J Best Footwears. He was talented, creative and dedicated to his craft.
“I never ceased to be impressed by his exertions for perfection in his products.
“I and many members of my team, for whom he also made shoes, will miss him, his services and unfailing good humour.
“Our thoughts are with his family as we pray that God will comfort them. May his memory remain blessed.”
Meanwhile, an obituary shared on the deceased’s Twitter handle, @Ojbest5, revealed that his remains will be laid to rest on March 3, at his hometown, Ijessi-Igo, in Ofu local government area of Kogi State.
