Video: Witnesses Blame Poor Firefighters’ Response for Overland Aircraft’s Fire Incident

Ololade Adeyanju/

A video of the fire incident involving an aircraft owned by Overland Airline at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos today, captured voices of eyewitnesses blaming firefighters for the extensive damage it caused.

The video showed the aircraft burning as firefighters who came with only one fire truck battled ineffectually to contain it.

The eyewitnesses who spoke in Yoruba could be heard complaining that the firefighters were not tackling the fire effectively. One of them could be heard at a point lamenting that the fire truck no longer had water.
