Boko Haram terrorists reportedly launched a fresh attack on Jiddari-Polo area, a suburb of Maiduguri, this evening, few hours after President Muhammadu Buhari left the city.
The President had paid a sympathy visit to the state following Sunday’s horrific attack on travellers at Auno, along the Maiduguri-Damaturu road by Boko Haram terrorists.
No fewer than 30 people were burnt to death, while several others were abducted during the attack.
video on social media shows people of different ages fleeing inward the city centre away from the violence.
Troops are reportedly battling the insurgents.
