The Senate President was reportedly on his way to honour the latest invitation by the police to answer more questions over the Offa bank robbery, when his convoy was prevented from moving out.

NewsmakersNG learnt that security operatives besieged the residence of the Senate President as early as 7am and blocked his convoy as he was set to leave home.

About the same time, a combined team of security personnel comprising the police and DSS stormed the Apo Legislative Quarters of Ekweremadu, who should have presided at the Senate in the absence of Saraki.

Police authorities are yet to react to the report.
