Lagos State governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has shared a video made by some COVID-19 patients in one of the isolation centres in the state in which they educated the public about the virus.

The patients who are all male took turns to display cardboards inscribed with different messages about the virus.

The messages assured the public that coronavirus is not a death sentence but also urged everyone to take it seriously and observe all the prescribed measures to avoid getting infected or infecting others.

They all appeared to be in very high spirit including the foreigners among them.

Speaking on the video, the governor tweeted, “Watching this #SomethingNewChallenge from the patients at one of our isolation centres made my day. They created the video to show that #COVID19 isnt a death sentence but must be taken seriously.

“We thank our amazing health workers for their service. #StayHomeSaveLives.

“COVID19 is no respecter of age, colour or religion. Together we can stop the spread if we follow the instructions from @NCDCgov and @LSMOH.

“Do not use the #lockdown as an excuse to mix up, there are carriers without symptoms. Please practice social distancing and wash your hands.”
