There was panic in Osogbo, Osun State, yesterday when a fuel laden tanker parked right inside a Mobil filling station suddenly caught fire.
Motorists, motorcyclists as well as residents living close to the area reportedly fled the scene, while those plying the route made a detour to avoid being caught in the inferno.
NewsmakersNG could ascertain the cause of the fire, but a resident said it might have been caused by a spark from one of the vehicles waiting to buy fuel in the station.
It took the combined efforts of firefighters and some brave residents to put out the raging fire.
