A video has emerged showing Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State explaining why he christened the state’s 2020 budget: ‘Olipotic Meristemasis’.
Ayade gave the explanation while speaking with journalists after presenting the N1.1 trillion budget, which many have described as unrealistic.
The governor said in part: “It is metaphysical realism. When you have an ambition that is not driven by reason; it is not driven by economic and financial analysis; it is driven by a spiritual force, which is beyond normal.”

Ayade had given the state’s budgets similar grandiose titles in previous years, 2016: Budget of Deep Vision, 2017: Budget of Infinite Transposition, 2018: Budget of Kinetic Crystallization and 2019: Budget of Qabalistic Densification.
Public expenditure monitoring group, BudgIT Nigeria, in a tweet, has queried how the governor intends to fund the budget given the fact that the state’s annual revenue had never exceeded N73 billion.
