Video: Health Worker Abandons PPE at Kyari’s Burial Site

A viral video has shown a staff of the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) who was among those that conducted the burial of Mallam Abba Kyari in Abuja today abandoning his Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the burial site.

Kyari, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief-of-staff, died from coronavirus related complications at a private hospital in Lagos yesterday and was buried at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja today.

The viral video shows the unidentified official by the fence of the cemetery taking off his PPE which he subsequently abandoned by the side of the road.

The video also shows him entering into his vehicle as he prepared to leave the burial site.
