A tanker conveying petrol caught fire after it fell on its side at Ojoo, Lagos in the early hours of today.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the incident occurred about 2am while the driver was trying to negotiate a bad patch in front of the Ojoo Military Cantonment.
Emergency officials confirmed two people dead in the incident but an eyewitness told NewsmakersNG that he counted fives bodies at the scene.
Several vehicles were also razed by the fire before it was brought under control.
The incident created a traffic nightmare on Mile 2 – Badagry expressway leaving commuters stranded for long hours.
