A trending video shows the moment a former American baseball player catches a baby thrown from the balcony of a second floor apartment by a desperate mum as fire razes their home in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Instagram video shared by abcworldnewstonight, shows the man, identified as Phillip Blanks, racing towards the burning building to catch the baby as the mother throws it from the balcony.
Reports say the unidentified mother perished in the fire.
