First Bank Robbers Sack Police Station, Wipe Out Officers in Kogi Attack

In what was a replica of the 2018 Offa bank robbery, no fewer than 10 policemen including the Divisional Police Officer of Isanlu police station in Kogi State were killed during a robbery attack on a First Bank branch in the town today.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the robbers who arrived the town located in Yagba East local government area of the state at about 4.30 pm first bombarded the police station, located opposite the local government headquarters, killing all officers on duty, before proceeding to attack the bank.

Unconfirmed number of civilians were also reportedly killed during the attack which lasted about two hours.

Bodies of the slain policemen littered the environment. Most of them are too gory for NewsmakersNG to publish.

NewsmakersNG also obtained a video of the scene of the crime that is too gruesome for publication.
