A drama ensued at Ikoyi Marriage Registry in Lagos last Saturday when a bride bluntly declined to either kiss or hug the groom immediately after they were declared husband and wife.
According to an Instagram user, thegreatproffbaba, who posted the video, it is customary at the registry for newlyweds to either hug or kiss after they are joined.
The bride, however, insisted it is contrary to the doctrine of the church she attends to indulge in either in the open.
Despite entreaties from officials and relations, the bride stood her ground until the ceremony was concluded.
