Video: Channels TV Crew Harassed while Giving Live Update at Lekki Toll Gate

Channels TV has shared a video clip showing the moment one its reporters, Olu Phillips and other crew members were manhandled by policemen and security officials at the Lekki Toll Plaza this morning.

The video which was shared on Twitter shows the security officials struggling with the TV crew in a bid to prevent them from recording activities at the toll gate.

The Lekki Concession Company (LCC), which runs the toll gate, is currently at loggerheads with residents of the area over its decision to resume tolling, which was suspended in the aftermath of the EndSARS protests in 2020.

The incident occurred amidst reports that LCC has already resumed tolling on the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge.
