The police in Lagos said they have arrested two officers who allegedly shot dead a teenager and injured one other on Monday night.
Sixteen-year -old Tina Ezekwe was reportedly shot by the policemen who were enforcing COVID-19 curfew at Iyana Oworo-Berger bus-stop in Kosofe local government area of the state.
Sympathisers rushed her to an undisclosed hospital where she reportedly died yesterday.
Eyewitnesses told NewsmakersNG that the policemen were drunk when the incident happened.
Spokesman of the Lagos police command, Bala Elkana, confirmed today that two policemen have been arrested in connection with the incident.
“We have commenced investigation into the matter. We have two police officers in custody already,” he said.
