Organizers of the U.S. Africa Trade & Investment Global Summit (USATIGS 2019) have announced Turkish Airlines as the major sponsor of the event.
A statement received by NewsmakersNG, from the organizers in Atlanta, today says, “The Summit planning committee is pleased to announce that Turkish Airlines is the official Airlines sponsor of the U.S.-Africa Trade & Investment Global Summit (USATIGS 2019), to be held from September 26 – 28, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. This is poised to be the start of a new relationship, in the continuous drive of Turkish Airlines to be the airlines of choice for the summit and the premier airline in the lucrative African routes.
“Besides immense benefits that will accrue to participants through networking with representatives of the U.S. Administration, financial powerhouses, investors and technical partners seeking business opportunities in Africa, delegates will be treated to the best of scenic tours Atlanta has to offer. This includes a special Golf tournament, tours of CNN Headquarters, the Martin Luther King Center and the Delta Museum.”
Turkish Airlines (Turk Hava Yollan – www.turkishairlines.com/) is the national flag carrier airline of Turkey. As of 2019, it operates scheduled services to 310 destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, making it the largest carrier in the world by a number of passenger destinations (excluding regional brands). It serves more destinations non-stop from a single airport than any other airline in the world. Turkish Airlines flies to 124 countries, more than any other airline. With an operational fleet of 20 cargo aircraft, the airline’s cargo division serves 87 cargo destinations.
USATIGS 2019 (http://www.usafricatradesummit.com/), is a trade Summit and multi-sector expo promising to provide African countries a strong platform and excellent opportunity to exhibit and promote their products and services in the United States. The Summit will also address the constraints and barriers that exist in identifying export markets for African product lines.
“It will encourage the establishment of long term trade partnerships and business linkages between Africa and the Americas. This is more than a business opportunity. It’s a movement for business success stories!” says the statement signed by Nassiri Hannifa Bamba, the Director of Communications U.S. – Africa Trade Council.
USATIGS 2019 is the 3rd in a series of trade summits, scaling out from the erstwhile successful U.S.-Nigeria Agribusiness investment Summit (USNAGRIS – www.usnagris.com), and aims to harness and showcase feasible and attractive investment opportunities across the huge U.S. African Trade axis.
The 3-day Summit is also promising to provide a powerful stage to engage and showcase appropriate technologies, inventions and enormous trade potentials.
