The US-Nigeria Trade Council has commended Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa on her attainments as she marked one-year anniversary as the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission on May 9.
Describing the anniversary as the Celebration of the “Nigerian Diaspora Mathematician”, the President, US-Nigeria Trade Council, Engr. Titus Olowokere, commended Mrs Dabiri-Erewa saying: “You blazed the trail. You redefined the identity of the Nigerian in the Diaspora. You awakened the national consciousness of the very being of the Nigerian Diaspora. You are the Diaspora Mathematician!”
According to him, Hon Dabiri-Erewa added pragmatism to the Nigeria Diaspora Day, subtracted “talk crazy” from the democracy of advocacy, multiplied dynamism with the variables of the far-flung indices of the Nigerian Diaspora, divided nonchalance, balanced the equation of agitation and action, resulting in the dogged legislative fight for, and the eventual establishment of, the Nigeria Diaspora Commission.
He described the appointment as one of the few times Nigeria has a round peg in a round hole in governance.
“It shows. It feels like five years of office, judging from concrete achievements and notable milestones,” he stated.
