NewsmakersNG learnt that the incident occurred at about 6.30 pm when many pedestrians were crossing the road that passes under the bridge at the ever busy Iyana Ipaja bus stop.

The area was reportedly thrown into momentary commotion as pedestrians scampered to avoid being crushed by the container.

The incident also caused a serious traffic jam in the area.

He said the victim had been rescued and taken to the hospital.
