Segun Atanda/
As members of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) worship all over the world today, memories of the late founder, Reverend Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa, were shared by his daughter in a Facebook post.
Oshoffa, who founded the church in 1947, died from injuries sustained in a road accident that also claimed two of his close aides on September 1, 1985.

NewsmakersNG presents the post by Arewa Deborah Oshoffa Ogunbiyi:
“33 years ago, Our hero, our pride, the most humble man despite all the Grace of God in his life. TEJUMOMI, Papa Oshoffa left home on a missionary call.
“This day started it all, an accident occurred, papa, and though he survived the accident he lost 2 of his great aides – Evangelist Mark and Thomas. May their souls continually Rest in Peace.
“Years haven’t healed the wounds of what this day led to. Today I had the last view of my daddy and that memory. Hmmm. No one, no story can take it away from me.
“…It is 33 years I saw u last papa and this morning I can’t stop my tears from flowing at so many memories. God has been faithful to us  my hero, my first love, Our dad with heart of mèrcy ànd I just want to say, Thànk you dáď for a good name.”
