WASHINGTON, D.C./

The United States Department of Commerce has announced that registration is open for the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit, the country’s premier foreign direct investment (FDI) event, set to take place May 3–6, 2026, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.

The announcement was made by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, who described the Summit as a cornerstone of the Administration’s “America First Investment Policy.”

The 2026 edition carries added significance as it will coincide with celebrations marking America’s 250th birthday, a milestone highlighting the resilience and dynamism of the U.S. economy.

The 2025 Investment Summit set a new benchmark, attracting over 5,500 participants from more than 100 countries. It also hosted 1,100 economic developers representing all 54 U.S. states and territories and spurred nearly $1 billion in new investment announcements.

“The SelectUSA Investment Summit plays an instrumental part in facilitating and amplifying foreign direct investment into the United States,” Lutnick said. “There has never been a better time to invest in America, especially as we celebrate 250 years of enterprise and ingenuity.”

The Summit will feature addresses from senior U.S. government officials, C-suite executives, and industry leaders. Attendees will gain access to policy briefings, industry-specific sessions, and networking opportunities. The Exhibition Hall will showcase U.S. economic development organizations (EDOs), federal agencies, service providers, and startups, creating a one-stop marketplace for investment opportunities.

Since the start of the current Administration, SelectUSA has facilitated 88 projects worth $22.1 billion, supporting over 11,000 jobs nationwide. Overall, the program has generated more than $135 billion in investment projects, creating upwards of 105,000 jobs across the United States.

The 2026 Summit is expected to be one of the most consequential to date, coinciding with a historic national celebration and reaffirming America’s commitment to welcoming foreign investment. International businesses seeking to expand in the U.S. will have unparalleled access to decision-makers and actionable intelligence to guide their investment strategies.
