The U.S.-Africa Trade Council, under the Chairmanship of Iyalode Alaba Lawson, has signed an agreement with the World Trade Center Atlanta, following a series of meetings with World Trade Center Leadership, President Max Sutherland and the Executive Vice President, Dr. Ismael Fernandez.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the official agreement allows both parties to promote a better relationship between the two organizations and members, to support each other’s events and programs, to exchange trade and market intelligence and to provide opportunities for the organizations to meet and interact.
“Both parties will also explore the possibility of developing joint programs or events to further accomplish the goals of this Agreement,” says a statement issued by the U.S.-Africa Trade Council.
It stated: “As a leading organization within the global network of 330+ strategically located World Trade Centers, the WTC Atlanta (https://www.wtcatlanta.com) is well-positioned as a gateway to a vibrant and formidable international business community across the region and around the world. Now we are able to tap into this vast trade network. This is an exciting time for both organizations.”
