President Donald Trump appears to have lost the 2020 election with the same margin he had won in 2016.
Just like the 2016 result, the projected final electoral votes score stands at 306 to 232, with Trump losing this time.
There are 538 electors in the United States. Democratic Party’s flag bearer, Joe Biden has won 306 electoral votes and left 232 for Republican Trump. Biden widened his lead against Trump with 74 electoral votes and 36 ahead of the 270 required to emerge as President.
Biden won 50.8 per cent of the popular votes with 78, 048, 538 and Trump trailed behind with 47.4 per cent (72, 701, 661). The gap between the two candidates’ popular votes stands at 5, 346, 877.
