Tragedy struck in Lagos today when an articulated truck crushed three people to death.
The unfortunate incident occurred about 8am, on Creek Road, in Apapa.
Eyewitnesses told NewsmakersNG at the scene that the truck driver lost control and hit a commercial motorcycle, killing the rider and his two passengers instantly.
Some of the eyewitnesses however said the rider survived with severe injuries and had been evacuated to an unknown hospital by emergency officials.
The truck driver reportedly escaped from the scene to avoid being lynched by a mob.
Normalcy had been restored to the area when NewsmakersNG visited.
