Lance Twiggs, the transgender partner of Tyler Robinson, accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk, is fully cooperating with the FBI’s investigation, law enforcement sources confirmed to the New York Post.
Twiggs, who is transitioning from male to female, resided with Robinson in St. George, Utah, at the time of the shooting.
The FBI has stated that Twiggs is not facing any criminal charges and is considered a witness, not a suspect.
Robinson, 22, allegedly shot Kirk during a public event at Utah Valley University on September 10.
Investigators found bullet casings at the scene engraved with anti-fascist messages, and Robinson reportedly discussed retrieving a rifle from a drop point in messages with Twiggs.
A family member of Twiggs confirmed their cohabitation but declined to comment on the nature of their relationship.
The FBI continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting and Robinson’s motivations.
Robinson faces charges including aggravated murder, which carries a possible death penalty in Utah.
