Transcorp Power Plc, one of Nigeria’s leading electricity generation companies and a subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp Group), has announced an impressive financial performance for the third quarter of 2025, posting a ₦91.18 billion profit before tax and a 38% year-on-year revenue growth.

According to the company’s unaudited financial results for the period ended September 30, 2025, revenue surged to ₦308.5 billion, up from ₦223.5 billion recorded in Q3 2024. The growth was driven by increased average power generation, reflecting Transcorp Power’s sustained investment in capacity expansion and operational efficiency.

Financial Highlights
• Revenue: ₦308.5 billion, up 38% from ₦223.5 billion in Q3 2024.
• Gross Profit: ₦119.7 billion, representing a 24% growth from ₦96.5 billion the previous year, with a gross margin of 38.8%.
• Profit Before Tax (PBT): ₦91.18 billion, up 12.4% from ₦81.12 billion in 2024.
• Profit After Tax (PAT): ₦68.42 billion, a 17% increase from ₦58.4 billion last year.

Chairman of Transcorp Power Plc, Mr. Emmanuel Nnorom, described the results as a testament to the company’s resilience amid Nigeria’s challenging economic landscape.

“Our performance in the third quarter demonstrates Transcorp Power’s resilience and capacity to sustain profitability despite economic challenges. Supported by efficient operations and prudent cost management, this sustained performance will further strengthen investor confidence and maintain our growth trajectory,” he said.

The company’s Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Peter Ikenga, attributed the success to strategic operational efficiency and consistent improvements in energy delivery to the national grid.
