Transcorp Consortium has emerged as the preferred bidder for the Afam Electricity Generation Company.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the National Council on Privatisation (NCP) approved the deal following the decision taken by the Council and its Chairman, the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
The move places Transcorp Power in a position to expand its strategic interest in the power sector of Nigeria.
An Investment Management Company, Heirs Holdings, says in a post on LinkedIn: “With this achievement, Transcorp is well on its way to reaching its ultimate target of generating 25 per cent of Nigeria’s total power requirement and remains at the frontline of improving lives and positively transforming the economy.”
