Tragic: Nigerian DJ Dies During Novelty Match at Jos Prison

A Jos-based Disc Jockey, DJ Silver Apeh, reportedly slumped and died during a charity football match with inmates of Jos prison, yesterday.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the father of two, who only got married to his longtime fiancee last month, had led his fellow DJs on a visit to the prison when the tragic incident occurred.

The Plateau State Polytechnic graduate, who also worked as in-house DJ with Unity 93.3 FM, reportedly led the inmates in prayers before the match began.

Silver, who was his team’s goalkeeper, had slumped during the match and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was certified dead.

Meanwhile, his friends and colleagues have been mourning the late DJ on Facebook.
