Tony Elumelu Speaks at 2023 National Insurance Conference

The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) has announced the opening of applications for its 2025 Entrepreneurship Programmes. The programmes aim to support entrepreneurs across Africa with training, mentorship, and non-refundable seed capital to develop and scale their businesses.

This year, three programmes are available:

  1. TEF Entrepreneurship Programme: Open to all African entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas or businesses less than five years old, with a focus on ventures leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and green initiatives.
  2. IYBA-WE4A Entrepreneurship Programme: Targeted at women entrepreneurs in Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Cameroon, Kenya, Mozambique, Malawi, and Togo, this programme supports green business ideas or ventures in partnership with the European Union (EU) and GIZ.
  3. Aguka Ideation Programme: Designed for young Rwandan entrepreneurs aged 18-30, this initiative offers $3,000 in seed capital for innovative ideas, in collaboration with UNDP Rwanda and the Rwandan Ministry of Youths and Arts.

Applications are open from January 1, 2025, to March 1, 2025, and must be submitted through TEF’s digital platform, TEFConnect. Entrepreneurs must be at least 18 years old and own businesses that are no more than five years old to qualify.

The Tony Elumelu Foundation is known for its commitment to fostering entrepreneurship as a means of driving economic growth across Africa. Since its inception, the Foundation has supported over 18,000 entrepreneurs.
