It was a day carved in gold and lined with laughter – Thursday, October 2, 2025, when Mrs. Tolulope David, wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Sholla David, turned 60.
The AIG’s Jewel embraced her milestone with joy that could fill the Main Hall of the Lagos Country Club, Ikeja GRA, where her family, friends, and admirers gathered for an unforgettable birthday soirée.
it was a day the Diamond Lady would have hugged if she could get her arms around it.

The celebration began on a sacred note. At their serene residence on Oba Ladejobi Street, Ikeja GRA, the Davids hosted a Family Worship Session, giving thanks to God for six decades of His unwavering faithfulness. The soft hymns and solemn prayers set the perfect tone for a day that would later sparkle with joy and colour.

Later in the day, the Lagos Country Club glowed with cream and navy-blue elegance, the chosen dress code that guests followed with flair.
The celebrant made a grand entry, glowing in regal poise, surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, and loved ones. Cameras flashed, the guests cheered, and the air brimmed with love and admiration.

The atmosphere soon turned into a festival of Ijebu pride, as traditional songs and praises celebrated her heritage. There were lighthearted quizzes and games, laughter that rolled like drums, and music that kept feet tapping throughout the night. Food and drinks flowed freely; a lavish spread that matched the grandeur of the occasion.
Judges are still being expected to announce the winner of the dancing competition between Tolulope and her husband.

It wasn’t just those in the hall who raised their glasses. Family and friends from across the globe joined virtually, sharing tributes and fond memories. Each testimony painted a portrait of a woman of faith, elegance, generosity, and quiet strength.
The day glittered with distinguished guests, from academia to the police high command. Present were Prof. Henry and Prof. Nike Boyo, the wife of retired CP Sola Amore – Chief (Mrs.) Adefolahan Amore, some members of the Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral (AVMCC), and a proud showing of AIG David’s course mates, including retired AIG Kenneth Ebrimson and retired AIG Imohimi Edgal.
