National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Tinubu,  amongst other older aspirants have allegedly been disqualified ahead of its presidential primaries

This came in the wake of reports that the party’s screening committee has disqualified 10 aspirants; with the party said to be opting for younger candidates.

According to Farooq Kperogi, a Professor of journalism renowned columnist, top APC stakeholders are scheming for the disqualification of Tinubu.

He made these claims about Tinubu via his Twitter handle yesterday.

“John Oyegun, Tinubu’s nemesis who chaired APC’s screening committee, told newsmen a while ago that only 13 ‘youthful aspirants’ were cleared to run for the party’s primaries.

“I can bet my bottom dollar that Bola Tinubu has been disqualified. 70 years isn’t, by any system of measurement, ‘youthful.’

“At 65, which is just 5 years younger than Tinubu, Yemi Osinbajo isn’t ‘youthful,’ either.

“The implosion of APC has just officially started!,” Kperogi alleged.

NewsmakersNG reports that the identities of the disqualified candidates is yet to be formally revealed by the ruling party.
