Tinubu, who disclosed the meeting in a post on his official X (Twitter) account on Wednesday, said he had a “productive lunch” with Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris.

The discussion, according to Tinubu, centered on strategic collaborations aimed at enhancing trade, security, and economic development between the two nations.

The Nigerian president is in France as part of ongoing diplomatic engagements to bolster Nigeria’s global partnerships and attract stronger international cooperation.

Tinubu and Macron’s meeting comes at a time when Nigeria is seeking deeper foreign investments and broader alliances to drive its ambitious economic reforms and consolidate its leadership role in Africa.
