President Bola Tinubu celebrates Bishop David Oyedepo

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended birthday wishes to Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel) and Senior Pastor of Faith Tabernacle, as he clocks 71.

In a congratulatory message released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President lauded Bishop Oyedepo as a “towering figure of influence and impact” across Nigeria, Africa, and beyond, through spiritual, educational, and philanthropic platforms.

Tinubu commended the Bishop’s unwavering focus, discipline, and diligence since 1982, which have propelled his ministry’s global vision and left “a resonating impact on the economies of many cities, states, and countries, particularly on infrastructure, health, and education.”

Highlighting Oyedepo’s role in raising new generations through education, the President praised the Kingdom Heritage Schools, Faith Academy, Covenant University, and Landmark University for their deliberate emphasis on holistic human development, skills, and entrepreneurship.

“You have built one of Africa’s most impactful Christian ministries from humble beginnings. Your steadfastness in the Word of Faith ministry is exemplary, birthing many ministries with resonating impact on key sectors of the economy. Your establishment of Covenant University and Landmark University continues to raise the standard of education, competing favorably with other global institutions,” Tinubu said.

He also acknowledged the Bishop’s contributions to nation-building, noting his consistent preaching and teaching of faith, discipline, and service as invaluable assets to Nigeria.

“At a time when our nation continues to draw strength from moral and spiritual leaders, you have remained a pacesetter and symbol of a servant leader for many to emulate,” the President remarked.

President Tinubu prayed for God’s continued blessings upon Bishop Oyedepo, asking that he be granted longer life, good health, and wisdom to keep lifting individuals, families, and nations with the Word of Faith.
