President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will today commence a three-state visit to Borno, Bauchi and Lagos, rounding off the tour with the end-of-year holidays in Lagos.
According to a State House statement, the President’s first stop will be Borno State, where he is scheduled to commission key projects executed by the state government under Governor Babagana Zulum in collaboration with the Federal Government.
While in Maiduguri, President Tinubu will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State governor and senator, Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.
From Borno, the President will proceed to Bauchi State to pay a condolence visit to the state government and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the revered Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who passed away on November 27.
After the condolence visit, President Tinubu will travel to Lagos, where he will spend the Yuletide holidays. He is expected to be the guest of honour at the Eyo Festival slated for December 27 at Tafawa Balewa Square, one of several engagements lined up during his stay.
This year’s festival will honour notable personalities, including the President’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, former Lagos State governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
The statement was signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on December 19, 2025.
