In a fresh wave of appointments, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has named key figures within the All Progressives Congress (APC) as board chairmen of 23 federal government institutions, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to party loyalty and governance.
Leading the list of appointees is Felix Morka, the APC National Publicity Secretary, who has been appointed as the Board Chairman of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). Additionally, Hon. Fatuhu Mohammed Buhari from Katsina State has been named as the Director-General of the National Agricultural Seed Council.
The appointments, announced on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, saw several APC state chairmen securing strategic positions across key federal agencies.
Among the notable appointments:
- Chief Emma Eneukwu, APC Deputy Chairman (South), will now chair the National Automotive Development Council.
- Mallam Muhammad Massan, APC Chairman in Bauchi State, has been appointed as Board Chairman of the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute, Ilorin.
- Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, Kano APC Chairman, is now the Board Chairman of the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service.
- Comrade Mustapha Salihu, APC Adamawa State Chairman, will lead the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

Other appointees include state APC chairmen from Benue, Oyo, Yobe, Plateau, Kebbi, Taraba, Zamfara, and several others, each assigned to various federal institutions ranging from medical centers and research councils to environmental agencies and colleges.
The strategic appointments are seen as part of President Tinubu’s efforts to strengthen party influence within federal institutions while ensuring that APC loyalists hold critical positions in governance. The move is expected to bolster party cohesion ahead of future political engagements.
These appointments, effective immediately, reflect the administration’s trust in APC members to drive policy implementation across diverse sectors. Observers note that this development may reshape the operational dynamics of these institutions, particularly in aligning with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
As the newly appointed officials take charge, stakeholders anticipate a renewed focus on institutional growth and national development under their leadership.
