The New Currency of Commerce, Opportunities

While future empires will be empires of the mind built on Information, I believe that good relationship is the new currency in that future new empires. You need to understand that money hides in people.

If you have good people and friends in your life, you will never lack. It is the highest form of poverty to make Cash or material gains the main thrust of any relationship.

You must learn to be matured and skilled in the area of relationships. You must learn to relate with people of diverse temperaments. As you grow in life, you will discover that many times; the most treasured assets are hidden in the most flawed individuals. Learn not to throw away the baby with the bathwater.

Don’t burn bridges. Don’t ever rule out that you may need somebody in future. Don’t allow your present foolishness truncate your future prospects and possibilities. Disagree without being disagreeable. Objection to a view is fine but do it without being objectionable. 

In the circle of life, you will discover that we all need one another. The epitome of being strategic is when you are able to preserve your future through your current actions. Be wise and learn to respect and value relationships. 

Gain knowledge, gain Information. Those who know will dominate those who don’t know. But relationships will be the currency exchanged in the new economy. Why? Because nobody knows it all. We are all ignorant, it’s only in different subjects. 

You need the relationships to leverage your knowledge (along with others) for a critical mass of effective impact. As we build the future Empires of the Mind, let’s build relationships as well that will serve as anchors in the storms of life in the new economy. 

If you make money the main basis of a relationship; you don’t have a relationship; you simply have an arrangement, which will fall apart when a higher bidder shows up. True and genuine relationships must be your focus. And any sacrifices paid will be worthy investments into your great future.
