*Vows to Keep Fighting
Despite facing a failed kidney transplant from his only brother, award-winning cinematographer and music producer, ThankGod Omori, popularly known as TG Omori, announced on Friday that he remains resolute in his fight against kidney failure.
The 28-year-old director, who has been battling the illness for the past one to two years, underwent the transplant at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, hoping for a breakthrough.
However, the procedure did not succeed, after his body reportedly rejected the donated kidney.
In a post on X, today, TG Omori revealed that he has been recuperating from the stitches of the failed kidney transplant. He expressed immense gratitude to his supporters for their prayers and well-wishes.
“Up and grateful o lord. (Sadly I can’t backflip) Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes, I’m healing now from the stitches of the failed one,” he wrote, emphasising his determination to push through this challenging phase.
Known for directing some of Nigeria’s most popular music videos, TG Omori has been quietly enduring this health challenge, supported by family and friends. Even after the unsuccessful transplant of his brother’s kidney, he remains hopeful and focused on his recovery.
“I can’t wait to make new crowded music videos for y’all,” he shared with his fans, showing his eagerness to bounce back stronger.
The failed transplant underscores the difficult journey TG Omori has been on, but it also showcases his courage and unwavering spirit.
