Malik Yahya/

A woman, suspected to be a human trafficker, was today arrested with a six-month-old baby at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the unidentified woman was about to board a flight to Lagos with the baby when she was intercepted by aviation security (AVSEC) personnel.

She reportedly couldn’t give satisfactory answers to questions posed to her by security personnel, raising the suspicion that the baby does not belong to her.

She has been handed over to the police for further investigation.
