Strike: Police Counter Move by Junior Officers

Police authorities have directed all junior officers to withdraw from patrol duty and report at their respective offices today.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the move was devised to counter the decision by the rank and file of the police to go on strike starting from today.

Junior police officers across the country have been threatening to go on strike to protest their poor welfare.

Sources confided in NewsmakersNG that all commanding officers have also been ordered to take a nominal roll of all officers under their command eveey hour to determine those that will fail to report for duty.
