Former US Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton, has called on the Nigerian government and the military to stop further killing of the #EndSARS protesters.
Clinton, who was also a former US first lady and presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, made the call in a tweet today.
Her call followed reports of killing of unarmed protesters by soldiers at the Lekki Toll Plaza in Lagos this evening.
Scores of protesters were also reportedly injured during the unprovoked attack.
She tweeted, “I’m calling on @mbuhari and the @hqnigerianarmy to stop killing young #EndSARS protesters. #StopNigeriaGovernment.”
