Spain were crowned champions of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after edging defending champions Argentina 1-0 after extra time in a pulsating final at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday, capping a month-long football spectacle with drama, emotion and star-studded entertainment.
