Sowore’s Burial Delayed as Family Insists on Autopsy

Femi Ashekun/

The burial of Olajide Sowore, younger brother of SaharaReporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore, could not hold this morning at Kiribo in Ese Odo local government area of Ondo State, as planned.

The delay was reportedly due to the insistence of the deceased’s family on conducting an independent autopsy on the corpse.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the autopsy had since been completed and the burial ceremony is set to commence.

This development was confirmed by Omoyele Sowore in a Facebook post about one hour ago.

Olajide was reportedly shot dead by suspected Fulani herdsmen at Okada, on the Lagos-Benin expressway, last Saturday.
