The Lawmaker representing Lagos Constituency II, Prince Kayode Akiolu MHR, has visited classes at Araromi Baptist School and Ereko Methodist School on Lagos Island, giving Pep Talk to students.
In a statement sent to NewsmakersNG Prince Akiolu’s says the visit was meant to kick-start the Snack 4 Thought initiative of the Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
He assured the students of keeping his campaign promises by continuous free holiday coaching which kicked off in August/September 2019.
According to the statement, Prince Akiolu who has been representing Lagos Island II since 2019, plans to provide some basic school provision for the pupils. He asked them to suggest what they needed in their schools and what would make their learning experience a joyous one.
Some of the proposed items needed were – schoolbooks, stationeries, and computers. He assured the pupils that he had already set plans in motion to provide free laptops to schools.
As he was about to leave the classroom, a student held his hand and whispered, “Sir, please we need a toilet.”
Prince Akiolu then pledged to solve the problem.
The lawmaker instructed his team to deliver a First Aid Box to the school after the headteacher also shared her concern about the lack of First Aid Box.
The pupils of Araromi Baptist Nursery and Primary School and Ereko Methodist School were in high spirit as they thanked and praised the Governor of Lagos State.
