Skye Bank Plc has dispatched a condolence letter to the family of its branch manager, Mr. Ubong Ekpe, who allegedly drowned while swimming at a beach in Akwa Ibom State.
Ekpe, who was the Manager at the Abak Road Branch of the bank in Uyo, reportedly died on yesterday when he drowned with his brother while swimming during a picnic with his family.
The incident happened at Ibeno Beach, in Iwuokpom community, in the state.
The Head, Corporate Communications, at Skye Bank Plc, Mr. Rasheed Bolarinwa, said that the bank was aware and had paid a condolence visit to the family.
Bolanrinwa said that the bank would offer its support to the family in performing the burial rites.
He said, “Another visit is planned for tomorrow (today) Wednesday, April 11, while a condolence letter on behalf of the management has been dispatched to the family as well.
“Additionally, the bank will be supporting the family with some burial benefits for the burial rites in line with our policy.”
