Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) also known as Shi’ites took to the streets of Abuja today to protest the killing Iranian military Chief, General Qasem Soleimani, by the US government.
The protesters who chanted, “Death To America”, also burnt a US flag during the protest.
They also demanded the release of their leader, Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenat who are being tried for murder by the Kaduna State government.
The protest reportedly paralysed commercial activities in some parts of the city until the protesters were dispersed by security agents.
