The police have made a change of baton at the Katsina State Command Headquarters.
The Commissioner of Police (CP) Besen Dapiya Gwana has handed over to a new officer, CP Mohammed Wakili.
Assuming duty on Monday, Mr Wakili, who was the CP in charge of General Investigation, at Force CIID, Abuja, inspected a Guard of Honour and shared his number with members of the public: 08126376265.
According to a statement by the state police spokesman, Gambo Isah, Wakili’s past postings in the police included Deputy Commissioner of Police Force Intelligence Bureau, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and Special Investigation Panel (S.I.P) among others. He has a B.A degree in Linguistics, and he had attended various courses within and outside the country.
Wakili appealed to members of the public to partner with the police and give useful information, so that the police could serve them better.
He assured that all information given would be treated with utmost confidentiality.
