Men who go swinging with hookers know there’s always a price tag.
But those who picked up 37-year-old Warri woman, Mitchell Harold, never expected to pay dearly.
According to the police, Mitchell had drugged not less than four men in the heat of passion and bolted with their cars.
Her latest victim is a medical doctor who slept for 20 hours and woke up to find his car, laptop and phones missing.
He had checked into a hotel in Ojodu-Berger, Lagos, with Mitchell on January 19, at about 5:30pm.
They planned to make it all night.
But Mitchell had other plans. She would give her lover-boy a night to remember.
Before settling down, Mitchell left the room to get a malt drink and yoghurt while her lover went for a shower.
The victim, who pleaded for anonymity, said, “I went in to take a bath and when I returned, she had gone to buy some drinks. I took the malt drink and yoghurt and I slept off. I slept off at 6 pm. And, I woke up around 2 pm.
“When I woke up, my laptop, car key and phone had gone. I rushed straight to the receptionist and gate man to ask them what was going on; that was when I realised my car had been taken away too.
“They told me someone came to pick the car for her. And, she said she was going to get food. Immediately, I reported the incident at Omole Police Station.
“I am getting to know her for real now. She only gave me Aisha Ibrahim as her name with these numbers – 08067188213, 07081240038. Since the incident, I had been trying to call her but to no avail. One of the numbers was switched off; she wasn’t picking the other.”
Mitchell’s arrest by the Rapid Response Squad, as Nigerians are getting set to celebrate Valentine, sends a warning signal to Casanovas that that Val may be a bad gal.
She was arrested in Agbor, Delta State.
The police had tracked her through a car dealer in Lagos, whom she had engaged to help perfect import papers for the stolen Volkswagen Passat Wagon, 2001 model.
The police also arrested her accomplices, namely: Gbenga Adesanya, a generator repairer engaged to drive the stolen vehicle, and her brother – Mukoro Okpako in whose house she used to lodge when in Lagos.
Police say Okpako assisted her to perfect the custom papers for the stolen Volkswagen.
Adesanya said, “I was surprised to see her opening the gate of the hotel herself for me to drive out instead of the gateman. That wasn’t the first time I helped her take vehicles out of Lagos to Sapele. It was about the third time.
First, it was a Toyota Camry “Big for Nothing”. I helped her to move it from Ajah to Sapele, in Delta. She paid me N16, 000. The second one was an “End of Discussion” Honda Accord, and thirdly, Volkswagen Passat, 2001 model. I moved that too all night to Sapele.
“I was introduced to her in 2016 by her elder brother, Mukoro Okpako, who worked as clearing and forwarding agent. I was told she needed the assistance of a good driver to take to Warri. I later met her in Ajah from where I helped her take a Toyota Camry to Sapele.
“About four months later, she summoned me to GRA Ikeja. She gave me a Honda Accord (End of Discussion) to help her collect fuel from his brother at Wawa, Ogun State. I took the fuel and returned the car. She then told me that she had gotten another driver to take her. She gave me N5000 and I left.
“The last vehicle is the one that has created crisis for me. Although, I have been wondering where she has been getting these cars, but she told me that she hired them from Delta whenever she comes to Lagos, and that a driver brought her to Lagos and returned to Delta. I don’t know she steals cars.”
The police told Newsmakers that Mitchell had already asked her brother, Okpako, to assist in perfecting custom papers for the Volkswagen Passat two days before she was arrested in Agbor, Delta State.
They said that the vehicle was recovered at a car mart, in Warri, with the number plate removed.
Mitchell told the police that she picks her victims from Badoo, a social media site.
She said, “Why I stole his (doctor’s) vehicle was that we had money issue.”
She claimed that the relationship had been on for a year, but denied stealing the laptop.
Lagos police spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the arrest.
She said that the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation and prosecution.

The word contentment is no longer in today's men dictionary. Level of promiscuity and greed in Nigeria of today is unbelievable. Stealing is absolutely wrong and of course, it's a criminal and punishable offence but men caught in such a shameful situation too must be named and shamed as a deterrent to others.
