Senator Abbo Meets IGP, Surrenders to Police

Embattled Senator Elisha Abbo, who allegedly assaulted a nursing mother at an adult toy shop in Abuja, has surrendered himself to the police in Abuja.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the lawmaker is facing interrogation at the Federal Capital Territory Police Command Headquarters.

The Senator had earlier met with the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, at the Force headquarters before heading to the FCT command.

Following the outrage that greeted a video of Abbo assaulting his victim, the IGP  had ordered an investigation into the incident.

Abbo is a Peoples Democratic Party lawmaker representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in the ninth assembly.
